Onions

We specialize in growing Yellow, Red and White onions in some of the best soil in the world right here in the Columbia Basin. Onions grow best in fertile, well-drained, sandy-loam type soils, and onions in the Columbia Basin are generally grown in 3- to 4-year rotations. Warm days and cool nights make for ideal growing conditions resulting in a high-quality product. Onion bulbs form in the long daylight hours of summer and our region traditionally grows a nice round, somewhat darker-skinned onion, ideally suited for storage.
